The Canada School of Public Service offers learning opportunities under the Cabinet Directive on Regulatory Management (CDRM) that aim to clarify the regulatory issues within the federal government and abroad. • Introduction to Regulating (R001) | 2 days
  This introductory course provides an overview of the different aspects of the regulation process, including the triage process and the requirements for the development, implementation, evaluation and review of federal regulations under the CDRM.
• Your Liability as a Regulator (Duty of Care) (R002) | 1 day
  This course defines the duty of care, introduces its related best practices and provides tools to minimize the risk of personal liability on the job.
• Regulatory Performance Measurement and Evaluation (R003) | 2 days
  This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to develop a performance measurement and evaluation plan based on the federal government's Handbook for Regulatory Proposals.
• Cost-Benefit Analysis for Federal Regulators (R004) | 3 days
  This course identifies the fundamental principles and managerial essentials of completing a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for federal regulatory initiatives.
• Developing Effective Regulatory Impact Analysis Statements (R005) | 1.5 days
  This course explains the role and key requirements of Regulatory Impact Analysis Statements (RIAS) in federal regulatory initiatives.
