ileadership

The Canada School of Public Service has redesigned the ileadership program in order to better meet the evolving needs of learners.

The ileadership is a highly experiential leadership development program designed to build a community of managers with the leadership skills necessary to lead in the highly complex and rapidly changing environment of the public service. The purpose of the ileadership program is to prepare, in a timely and cost effective manner, high potential staff at the EX minus 3 and 4 levels for the challenges facing entry and intermediate level managers.

The ileadership program provides opportunities for participants to explore the practical applications of leadership using cutting edge tools such as case studies, simulations, self-assessment instruments and action learning groups. Participants develop and apply the leadership skills and confidence necessary to manage teams, deal with conflict, handle difficult conversations, champion change and address the challenges facing their own organizations and the public service at large.

The ileadership program can be a component of an individual's professional development strategy or can be integrated into an organization's talent management framework or internal leadership development program.
