Gender Equality and Sustainable Development: Making Critical Links

Gender Equality and Sustainable Development: Making Critical Links

This half-day session will combine a presentation and a capacity-building workshop to broaden the dialogue on the increasingly important synergies between gender equality and the social, economic and environmental dimensions of sustainability.

The opening presentation will explore how effective program and policy making can ensure "human well being and dignity, ecological integrity, gender equality and social justice, now and in the future."

The workshop following the presentation will strengthen the network of gender champions within British Columbia while developing practical skills in gender equality thinking and Gender-based Analysis Plus for application in a variety of federal contexts.
