Description
All federal government employees should be familiar with the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act and how they are applied in order to carry out their responsibilities under these legislations. This course provides an overview of the Access to Information and Privacy acts, the key stakeholders and their respective responsibilities. Participants will learn how to properly manage protected information and will be introduced to the request process and established complaint mechanisms. [I703]

- legislation, security and information management
- the management of personal information
