There are many important elements to consider when acquiring goods, services or property. This course provides an overview of the procurement functions, the policies relevant to procurement and the roles and responsibilities of key players. After completing this course, participants will have a better understanding of the various phases of the procurement process.

This course is open to all public servants and forms part of the Required Training for Materiel Management and Real Property Specialists under the Treasury Board Directive on the Administration of Required Training. It is also recognized by the Certification Program for the Federal Government Procurement and Materiel Management Communities, which is managed by the Treasury Board Secretariat.
