Human resources (HR) advisors are expected to have solid labour relations skills to build support within teams. This course explores management rights, interpreting collective agreements, mediation, grievances and termination of employment mechanisms in the context of the Public Service Labour Relations Act. Participants will learn to work with management and bargaining agent representatives on major activities related to employer-employee relations. This course is intended for HR specialists and generalists with no more than two years' experience who provide advice to managers in the field of labour relations.
