It is essential for board members of Crown corporations to understand the basics of their role and responsibilities as well as the Government of Canada's expectations. This course introduces directors of Crown corporations to the machinery of the federal government, including the roles and responsibilities of various departments, ministers and Parliament. Participants will review key legislation impacting Crown corporations, the governance structure of Crown corporations and the financial responsibilities of directors.
