To do their jobs effectively, public service managers are expected to have a solid understanding of their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. Module 8 of Authority Delegation Training examines management's obligations regarding security, information management, and health and safety in the workplace. Participants will learn about the different legislation and policies governing their responsibilities within each of these management areas and how to comply with the legal framework when making decisions.

Topics include:

  • identifying management obligations for protecting the workplace
  • reviewing the different legislation and policy instruments regarding each management area
  • making effective decisions that comply with the legal framework


To complete this training, participants must finish all eight modules of the Authority Delegation Training course. The course evaluation will only be forwarded upon the completion of Module 8.
