Manager Development Program - Phase 4 (G415)

The Manager Development Program supports new managers by helping them understand the roles, accountabilities and expectations placed upon managers in the federal public service. Phase 4 is a three-day course that provides opportunities for reflection and application with a view to integrating the knowledge, skills and competencies gained in the previous phases of the program. Participants will develop new competencies, reflect on their leadership skills and reinforce what they learned in the program through complex case studies and scenarios.

Topics include:

  • facilitating transition and periods of change
  • building and maintaining networks with colleagues, partners and stakeholders
  • using innovation and leadership to create the public service beyond 2020
  • examining how state of mind influences the perception of self, others and the environment


The Manager Development Program comprises four phases. Only participants who are registered in the program and have completed Phase 3 may register for Phase 4.
