CSPS Premium: Leadership and Indigenous Relations (K202)

Gaining a deeper understanding of Indigenous leadership concepts is an important step towards strengthening the government's relationship with Indigenous Peoples in Canada. This course for executives is delivered by Indigenous leaders and offers a transformational learning experience centred on the principles of traditional oral teachings and Indigenous leadership development. Participants will explore a conceptual policy framework that covers the processes of policy development and decision making in a co-development and partnership dynamic.

Topics include:

  • examining public service and Crown perspectives in developing policy
  • exploring Elder perspectives in policy development
  • understanding the importance of the cultural teachings
  • reconnecting diversity, inclusion and the 10 guiding principles on how to engage with Indigenous Peoples


Participation in this course is limited to executives, and registration is available by nomination only. Nominees will receive registration instructions upon being accepted.
