The Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) is designed to facilitate recruitment to the public service while respecting fairness, transparency, accessibility and representativeness. Part 1 of this two-part course introduces the knowledge and skills that staffing specialists need to provide sound advice on human resources issues related to staffing. Participants will learn how to apply the relevant laws, regulations, policies, guidelines and common practices to support administrative and values-based decisions at every stage of the staffing process.
