The Government of Canada is committed to protecting the public interest by working to ensure that its regulatory activities result in the greatest overall benefit to Canadians. This course explains the role and requirements of regulatory impact analysis statements (RIAS) in federal regulatory initiatives. Participants will learn how to plan and develop an effective RIAS in accordance with the requirements of the Cabinet Directive on Regulatory Management, its related frameworks and the stages of the life-cycle approach to regulating.
