Project managers must often address ethical dilemmas as part of their project management responsibilities. This online self-paced course introduces the core values demanded of project managers for managing projects effectively: responsibility, respect, honesty and fairness. Participants will explore the values underlying ethical decisions and behaviours as outlined in the Project Management Institute's (PMI®) Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Topics include:

  • exploring the values underlying ethical decisions and behaviours
  • identifying the core values demanded of project managers
  • applying PMI® values in real-life project management practice
  • understanding the vision and purpose of the PMI® Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct


This course will assist in preparing for the PMI® certification exam and is aligned with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Fifth Edition, published by PMI® Inc., 2013.
