Celebrate the Changing Faces and Voices of Canadian Francophones
Canada's Francophone communities, unique from region to region, continue to grow and change. Immigrants from France, Belgium, North Africa, Cote d'Ivoire, Madagascar and Guadeloupe—among many other nations—all arrive with their own cultures and identities to become part of Canada's Francophonie.
Celebrate la Journée internationale de la Francophonie with Kim Thúy, who received the Governor General's Award for French-language fiction for her novel Ru. Widely recognized for eloquently speaking about her unforgettable journey that brought her to Quebec, Kim will share her personal story of culture, language and identity as a Vietnamese Francophone.
Don't miss this chance to discuss the many facets of cultural identity and our evolving perception of La Francophonie with a celebrated and engaging author.
