Acting Chief Data Officer, Canadian Border Services Agency
Jeff joined the Strategic Policy Branch of the Chief Data Office at CBSA on September 8, 2020. As the Acting Chief Data Officer he is responsible for data analytics, strategy, governance, policy, science and biometrics within the CBSA.
Jeff joined the CDO after spending over 20 years in the public service, including Health Canada, the Privy Council Office, Employment and Social Development Canada and the Public Health Agency. Throughout his career, he has focused on data analysis and how to bridge the gap between technical and policy work. He has played roles in economic research, data visualization, building data team, artificial intelligence model development, data governance and strategy.
