This learning activity is designed for all federal regulators.
Regulatory Policy Outlook: Key Successes and Challenges of Canada's Regulatory System
The Community of Federal Regulators, in partnership with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, is pleased to welcome Nick Malyshev, Head of the Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD)'s Regulatory Policy Division; and Céline Kauffmann, Deputy Head of the OECD Regulatory Policy Division; to discuss the findings of the OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook 2018.
The 2018 Outlook, second in a series launched in 2015, maps countries' efforts to improve regulatory quality. It provides valuable insights into international trends related to the adoption of good regulatory practices, including best practices and lessons learned. The OECD's analysis also provides a unique perspective into Canada's regulatory system; both in terms of its strengths and the opportunities to improve the institutional structures, processes and requirements for designing, enforcing and reviewing federal regulations.
