CSPS Virtual Café Series: Estonia and the Art of the Possible in Digital Government

Description

E-Estonia is the most ambitious digital state transformation project today. Hailed as a pathfinder in applying a digital ethos to government, this Baltic nation has achieved something most nations can only dream of: an efficient, secure and transparent online system through which 99% of government services are delivered.

Through its formidable leadership, clear vision and an unwavering commitment to citizen-centred design, Estonia's journey shows what is achievable when you are fully committed to simple, secure and scalable modern government services.

This next event in the series will provide an overview and demonstration of the e-Estonia journey followed by a conversation with Anett Numa, Digital Transformation Adviser at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre. Topics will include:

  • the three pillars underpinning Estonia's digital government approach, and how they transformed its vision into reality
  • key lessons other governments should take note of when developing online services
  • Estonia's future plans that will move digital government to the next level
