Whistleblowing is an increasingly hot topic and the subject of new legislation across Canada and internationally. Blowing the whistle often takes a great deal of courage, but each of us who has chosen to pursue a career in the public sector should feel safe in reporting suspected wrongdoing.

At this session, the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner of Canada, Mr. Mario Dion, and the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Joe Friday, will discuss the purpose and key characteristics of the 2007 Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act and the role of their office. They will also present information on trends and challenges as well as the latest developments in case law.
