Design thinking is a human-centred approach to problem-solving that emphasizes research, synthesis and ideation to create and implement innovative solutions.

The Design Process course series is comprised of five online self-paced courses that guide learners through various stages of design thinking and explore the fundamentals and techniques of the design process.

The Design Process: Qualitative Data Synthesis (DDN245) This online self-paced course presents practical methods for organizing, analyzing and synthesizing qualitative data to identify patterns and trends, validate assumptions, and draw useful insights.
The Design Process: Ideation and Conceptualization (DDN246) This online self-paced course provides the knowledge needed to run productive, useful, and equitable ideation sessions that will lead to solutions for identified problems.
The Design Process: Prototyping and Testing (DDN249) This online self-paced course presents the steps to take to create and test prototypes effectively.
