Kim Mellor has over 27 years of experience in education, including 13 years in leadership development in the federal public service.

Prior to joining the faculty, Kim was a learning specialist at the Canada School of Public Service. She led the development of a wide variety of national leadership courses and programs for supervisors, managers and executives. Her areas of expertise are transformational leadership, employee engagement, psychological health, and organizational change.

A people person with a special interest in human development, Kim became an accredited Erickson professional coach in 2018. She puts her coaching skills to good use by creating learning environments conducive to reflection, exploring new opportunities, and action.

Before joining the federal public service in 2009, Kim was a teacher, career management consultant, and evaluation and measurement consultant.

Kim views teaching leadership as a privilege: the privilege to guide and inspire others to become the best versions of themselves and at the same time help shape the public service of tomorrow.
